  8. Signed up for 8D Best of Taiwan tour package which departed on 06/11 because counter staff told me that groups departing between 06/11/2010 and 31/03/2011 would go to Flora Expo for free. Its brochure also has a sticker that mentioned the same. When my group reached Taiwan, tour leader said it’s not in our itinerary. An uncle in my group talked to the local guide about it (as the TL was of no help at all) as it was the couple’s main intention in joining the tour package. Luckily our tour guide was attentive and service-oriented. Eventually the local agent provided transportation for those who wanted to go to the Expo. I also heard that pax going to the Expo had to pay for the admission fee themselves.

The ‘auntie’ tour leader, Esther, was probably one of the worst. She worked like a rookie, unprofessional, inefficient and lack of service skill. She took a long time to take attendance as well as distributing hotel room key. But when we reached a shopping mall or night market, she ‘siam’ quite quickly and came back with bags. She rarely greeted the paxes, acted ‘bo chap’ and never acted as a ‘sweeper’. She even left some of the pax behind when we rode the train in one of the cultural village. When we watched performances, she also tagged along. I saw a very different face when she collected the tips. To me, giving tip to tour leader is not a big deal if the TL did his/her job properly. In fact, I don’t mind giving more for a good service. But if the service was lousy and unacceptable, everyone would be ‘si beh buay song’ and ‘si beh boh kam guan’. I wonder why ASA hired such incapable TL.

It was my first time joining ASA tour and, unfortunately, it gave me a very, very bad impression. So, the next time I’m planning for holiday, ASA will be excluded from my list!

  10. What a fantastic and enjoyable trip was!
We went to Europe “The Best of Italy, Switzerland and France” led by such an experienced and friendly Mr Yap Hoe Seng.
He is very knowledgeable with the Europe history and able to sing songs of various languages-Wah super singing skill!
He always took an extra mile for us :-
    1) At Galeries Lafayette I was busily shopping and hunting handbags, SMS to him to buy three tins of Letoie Gras only and yet he did it for me.
    2) On last day, he took the trouble to bring the three tour mates to purchase the Channel handbags which were not found at Lafayette.
    3) At the arrival hall, he helped bringing down the few left behind luggages-owners might had gone to purchase the wines.

Thanks alot to Mr Yap .
Looking forward next year to Turkey. Hope that he will still be our tour leader.

They give u the intinerary was almost different from their brochure u get from their counter at Chinatown main outlet and the Sales Rep will pass to you at the day of your departure so you cant do any thing to it. But their hotels given was still not bad. Hope AsA will follow according to their intinerary ………. pls……
